Date Night

Last night Curry and I took advantage of Logan being at a birthday party and went on a date. As we were finishing our dinner.. it started to pour the rain..... while we were waiting for the rain to let up Curry realized he had locked the front door but didn't have keys. (He keeps my car key on a seperate ring from all of his other keys) We were not only waiting for the rain to stop, but we were trying to figure out how to get into the house that's completely "secured"..... in the pouring rain, and with the tempatures freezing....
Curry tried several different options, but the deadbolt wasn't giving. He finally decided it would be cheaper to replace the front door(which we need to do anyway for the sale of the house) than to call a lock smith. Plus, the need to use the bathroom helped to decide that he would use force on the front door. Not too much force was needed... he gave it one good POP with his shoulder and we were in the house.
Most of you know we have a Boston Terrier... I was concerned about giving her a heart attack while all of this was happening. Once we were inside we had to call for her.... she was ASLEEP in our bed. I feel real safe with her. Don't get a Boston if you are looking for a guard dog.
Curry is spending the day (still pouring rain with the temps a little above freezing) putting in our new front door. Always making memories.....

Takin' It To The Hoops

Way to go Lady Crusaders!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Logan's basket ball team added another victory to tonight!!! They are undefeated in their conference. If they can hold this winning streak - they may go all the way to CITY!!!
The Lady Crusdaers went to City last year and they are eager to repeat it again. This is Logan's first year playing basketball..... tonight she was very aggressive and kept up with her "man". We are very proud of her!!!
Sorry, no pics, I forgot my camera. Maybe next Thursday.
The winning score was 19-4!!!! YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!

New neighbors

I was able to remember to take pics. That's one thing about blogging that I am learning..... you have to take pics of "life happening". I am getting better. Here are pictures of Logan and our new neighor, Victoria. They are making chocolate sea shells. YUMMY!!!!!

We have been blessed with new Christian neighbors. They have a daughter, Victoria, that is a third grader. She is a little younger than Logan, but the girls get along just fine. We welcomed them to the neighborhood with dinner the day after a long move in. We know what it's like to be faced with a mountain of boxes and have to come up with some thing for dinner.
The Rogers' Family attended our church the week before..and were pleasantly surprised when they learned we attend Cameron Baptist, too. It's wonderful to have neighbors that are Christian and that attend the same church.

Logan and Victoria had a blast, on Sunday afternoon, making chocolate sea shell candies. While they waited for the chocolate to set... they took advantage of our spring like weather and raced scooters up and down the street.

You have to have a sense of humor if you are electronically challenged and continue to want to dabble with electronics.
I am now off to attmept to download some music to my phone... that will no doubt cause me a huge headache.
